Art is everywhere
Between the lashes of your eyes
When you look
When you see
Ever see a surfer’s drop
Ever watch the curl of a perfect wave
(Like the curl of a great lover)
Or even imperfect mush
(Any lover when you’re lonely)
There is art in the stick of the sweat as two bodies press and peal apart
Poetry in sighs
And beating hearts under water
Music in old crackling bones deep in the marrow
Of arthritic hands embracing
Two pilgrim palms praying
For the same sweet release
Reverence
In this world is not hard to find
Because art is in your eyes
Sometimes caught between your lashes
Like a venus fly trap
Buzzing, screaming, praying to get out
Release the art
It is everywhere
In everyone
"Action is greater than writing. A good man is a nobler object of contemplation than a great author. There are but two things worth living for: to do what is worthy of being written; and to write what is worthy of being read."
